Tristan Mattelart, Maître de conférences at the Institut Français de Presse, Université Paris II, discusses a major research project which he is currently leading on transnational satellite television flows between the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean.

Tristan Mattelart is the author of Cheval de Troie audiovisuel. Le rideau de fer à l'épreuve des radios et télévisions transfrontières (Grenoble : Presses Universitaires de Grenoble, 1995) and editor of Médias, migrations et cultures transnationales (Paris : Ina-De Boeck, 2007). He is currently editing a book on underground networks and globalization.
